TCU spirit in Mongolia

Matthew Gallagher '90 of Sugar Land, Texas, had taken his son on numerous Boy Scout trips over the years, but he realized time was running out to travel with his 16-year-old daughter Grace.

So when he asked her where in the world she would like to go to learn about another culture, "She said, without hesitation, 'Mongolia,' " Gallagher wrote us. So father and daughter went to Asia this summer and took their TCU flag with them. The photo above shows them in the Gobi Desert.

"What a great world of culture she was able to see. With her photography skills, she was able to capture a lot of it in pictures," he wrote us.

Grace hopes to join older sister Sarah, a TCU sophomore, as a Horned Frog in coming years, Gallagher said.
