Two alums earn law kudos

In September, one TCU alumnus of the Texas-based Jackson Walker LLP law firm were honored among the Best Lawyers in America 2013, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession.  

W. Gary Fowler '81, partner in the firm's Dallas office, was recognized for his work in the areas of labor  and employment law.

Joel Heydenburk '00, partner in the firm's Fort Worth office and specialist in the areas of real estate and finance transactions, was selected as a 2012 Rising Star by Thomson Reuters. The award is given to attorneys who are 40 years of age or younger and have practiced 10 or fewer years. It is based on a two-part system that determines the top 2.5 percent of the state’s up-and-coming lawyers.

Jackson Walker LLP has more than 340 attorneys in Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Angelo, San Antonio and Texarkana.
